Barry M limited edition nail paint - silver glitter 01.

Photobucket
To get you all in the festive spirit, Barry M have bought out this stunning limited edition silver glitter nail varnish (or as Barry M labels them, nail paints!)

I am a huge fan of glitter polish, even more so in the Christmas season & I am a huge fan of the Barry M glitter range. I find that between two to three coats of this polish gives a gorgeous effect & beautiful coverage although you do have to glob it on (if that makes any sense).

The varnish currently retails at £3.99 in Boots & is free when you spend over £6 on selected Barry M products. Since wearing this varnish I have received many compliments from customers whilst at work & I would highly recommend it to anyone so go on, why not treat yourself!

What's your favourite Barry M nail paint? What do you think of glitter varnish?

The first ten pounds, taking fifty to fourty!

Since my early teens I have battled with my weight, I've tried every diet out there, too many exercise DVD's and been through the vicious cycle of loosing weight, only to gain it once again.

Seven weeks ago I started my new job and decided that I was going to loose my weight once and for all. I set myself the target of loosing a large 50 pounds by July and more importantly so, 14 before Christmas.

Today marks my first ten pound loss, meaning my one stone dream before Christmas is in fact achievable, as is the big fifty! How have I done this? Simple! Just a mere 20-30 minutes of zumba a day, walking home when possible (living in the U.K means this is very weather dependent) and following the slimming world diet. If I'm being honest, I haven't pushed myself as hard as I could, eating regularly on the weekends however this doesn't seem to have affected it too much.

Considering it is the Christmas season, I am going to allow myself to have the weekends off because heck it's only natural to eat, drink & be merry around Christmas time! However come January, it's time to kick my booty into action.

I look forward to announcing my next 10 pound loss! Lot's of love, Lauren!

Santa baby.

With Christmas a creepin' it's time to start putting some thought into what I would like to receive for Christmas. On inspection of my wardrobe, it has come to my attention that my selection of underwear is quiet frankly, appalling. A good selection of underwear, in my opinion, is something that every lady is entitled to & every lady should have that's why I will be asking for these sets from dear old santa. (Note: I have a huge obsession with highwaisted undies!)

Set no.1 & no.2 are from Ann Summers.
Set no.3 & no.4 are from K&Co.

'Tis the season to be jolly!

So guys & girls, December is finally here! Despite my age, I don't believe I (or anyone for that matter) is ever to old to receive an advent calender & revert back to a childlike state for the duration of the Christmas season. For me, Christmas is the best time of year it's a time of happiness, giving, selflessness, good food & spending that all important quality time with your family.

This year, to kick of the Christmas season I was given an adorable lindt advent calender & hiding under day one was a little gold bunny, if you've not yet got an advent calender I would suggest hunting out one of these little delights as they're super cute & I will not accept any scrooges!

Things I'm looking forward to this month:
Oxford street VIP traffic free shopping day, giving & receiving presents, wrapping presents (& hopefully mastering the 'wrapping skill'), spending quality time with my family, putting up decorations, listening to Christmas music, watching many a Christmas film, Mickey Mouse once upon a Christmas, eating delicious food without feeling guilty (hell, it's practically law to get fat over Christmas!), scented candles, the build up of excitement for the big day, waking up at 5am (I'll always be a big kid!), Christmas print socks & snow? (please!)

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, what are you most excited for over the Christmas season?
